Corporate Events & Hunts
|
At Hunts Point, we
believe in mixing business with pleasure - and
we encourage a lot of both. That's why we
designed our lodge to accommodate those who come
just to play or those who want to roll up their
sleeves and take care of business before heading
out to the fields.
Bird Hunts & Sporting Clays
Hunts Point features more than 500 acres of
natural and planned habitat for an unmatched
bird hunting experience. A variety of expansive
fields and meadows were carefully plotted to
wrap around woodlands and ponds, giving game
birds natural and protective habitat, offering
sportsmen a quality hunt. Our sporting clay
course is as challenging as they come, along
with a 5-stand sporting clay course, and our
unique European Tower Shoots course provides an
exciting afternoon of shooting. |

European Tower
Shoots
Here’s your chance to experience what centuries
of European royalty have known all along –
European Tower Shoots are fun, fast and
challenging. It starts with a grove of trees
about 175 yards in diameter with a 34-foot tower
in the middle.
Our European Tower Shoots can be for 8 to 20
shooters with 100 to 600 birds. Pricing varies
accordingly. Tower Shoots begin with a pre-shoot
meeting and then out to the tower. Tower Shoots
include a Special Bird Contest, where one
special bird is released, and the shooter who
gets it wins a prize.
Around
the perimeter are 10 shooting stations with a
shooter, a dog and a dog handler. Fifteen birds
(pheasants or pigeons) are released from the top
of the tower, one or two at a time. The hunters
never know how many will pass overhead. After 15
are released, the shooters rotate stations and
15 more birds are released. Shooters eventually
shoot from each station. After all the birds are
released, the handlers take their dogs into the
trees to flush the birds that stayed in the
timber. But the shooting doesn’t end there.
After lunch, participants can "scratch hunt,"
where they walk nearby fields for a second
chance at birds that were missed during the
Tower Shoot. This is the only time we allow
scratch hunting.
After
returning to the lodge
shooters and handlers have a chance to relax
and relive the shots and experiences,
however humbling they might be. |
